Thank you for sponsoring me last year during my 30 Hour Famine!
Thanks to you, I was able to raise $2160, part of $15,433 raised by SFS to feed 457 kids for 1 month!
The date that I should receive my donations is Friday the 23rd of February. I am very sorry that this email is going out so late.
I understand that is it totally late to be sending this email when the deadline is this Friday.
If you have the time, your donations would be totally appreciated.
However, I understand that you may not be able to.
This, year the famine has gotten even worse.
With the civil war in Sudan getting worse, and governments relying more and more on foreign aid, food shortages are becoming more common.
1 in 9 people do not have enough food to live.
In developing countries, a whopping 12.5% of their population is starving.
Countries such as Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Chad, Ghana, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Sierra Leone, Myanmar, Tanzania, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru, Brazil and North Korea.
South Koreans make $6.60 at minimum wage whereas families in some developing countries live on less than $1.35 a day.
Consequently, every 6 seconds, a child dies because they are malnourished.
With your help, we could change this around.
For $39 dollars, you can feed 1 child for 1 month.
I do not want you to feel obligated to donate a large amount.
