Again this year, I'm going to join youth and adult leaders from Ozaukee Congregational Church, and neighboring Congregational churches, in doing World Vision's 30 Hour Famine. On March 2-3, I'll be at the First Congregational Church of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin—fasting, to raise awareness and funds for the fight against global hunger.

According to World Vision, 1 in every 9 people in the world do not have enough to eat, and 98% of these people live in developing countries.  Some live at the mercy of hunger crises like the one that struck East Africa. Others have been forced from their homes, scraping by with that they can find. Still more find themselves caught in a cycle of poverty and hunger, neither of which they can escape.

But when we come together, there's hope. Hunger has decreased by 20% in the past 25 years, thanks to the generosity of people like you. Some of you have supported me in this effort annually, for quite a number of years. You've heard or read my words, "About a dollar can feed and care for a child in the developing world for a day." Over the years, inflation has had a bit of an effect. So today, according to World Vision, $40 will help feed and care for a child for a month. While it's now a bit more than a dollar a day, it's still a small price to pay to literally save a child's life.

Please consider supporting this important effort. You can make a secure donation on this website, and of course it's tax-deductible. Thank you, in advance, for considering this opportunity to make a real difference.

Peace... --Rob
