I'm going without food for 30 hours to raise money so others can eat —
1 in every 9 people in the world do not have enough to eat.
98% of these people live in developing countries. Some live at the mercy of hunger crises like the one that struck East Africa. Others have been forced from their homes, scraping by with what they can find. Still more find themselves caught in a cycle of poverty and hunger, neither of which they can escape.
However, when we come together, there's hope. Hunger has decreased by 20% in the past 25 years, thanks to people like you. It may be retreating to some of the hardest paces, but it's still on the run. So let's keep on chasing it.
Just $35 will help feed and care for a child for an entire month! All you have to do is click one of the orange buttons below to give your gift! Your gift is tax-deductible. Also, if you're feeling extra generous, $70 dollars would provide a kid with food for 2 months, and $105 would help a starving kid for 3 months. However, any donation is greatly appreciated.
I am very excited to participate in the 30 hour famine for my third year in a row. The experience this event provides me is definitely life-changing. Although it provides me with just a glimpse of the struggle these starving kids are living with, it has opened my eyes to the less fortunate, and I want to help them every chance I get.
