Dear family and friends,

I’m excited to tell you that I am participating in an event with my JBC youth group where we are learning about global hunger and discovering what God wants us to do about it. I’m taking a pretty cool challenge and if you’re willing, I would like your help. Everyday, nearly 8,000 children under age 5 die because of hunger related causes. I want to do something about it. So, I’m doing World Vision’s 30 hour famine. I will not eat for 30 hours and raise money to help provide food and care for kids around the world. Please read the information below and consider what you may be able to contribute to this cause.

Thank you so much,

Love, Madison

1 in every 9 people in the world do not have enough to eat.

98% of these people live in developing countries.  Some live at the mercy of hunger crises like the one that struck East Africa.  Others have been forced from their homes, scraping by with that they can find.  Still more find themselves caught in a cylce of poverty and hunger, neither of which they can escape.

But when we come together, there's hope.  Hunger has decreased by 20% in the past 25 years, thanks to people like you.  It may be retreating to some of the hardest paces, but it's still on the run. So let's keep on chasing.

Just $40 will help feed and care for a child for a month!  All you have to do is click one of the orange buttons below to give your gift! Your gift is tax-deductible.
